From Essen Central Station (Essen Hbf), take the S1 train towards Dortmund. After about 15 minutes, get off at Bochum Hauptbahnhof (Bochum Main Station). Once you arrive at Bochum Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and head to the bus stop located directly outside the station. Take bus number 386 towards 'Bergbaumuseum'. After 6 stops (approximately 15 minutes), get off at the 'Planetarium' stop. The Planetarium Bochum will be right in front of you at Castroper Str. 67.

If you find yourself in Bochum city center, head towards the Bochum Hauptbahnhof (Main Station). From there, follow the signs to Castroper Str. and walk straight for about 1.2 kilometers. It should take you around 15-20 minutes to reach Planetarium Bochum on Castroper Str. 67. Look for the large building with a distinctive dome, which houses the planetarium.
