Walk straight for about 5 minutes along Gelsenkirchener Strasse, and you will arrive at the museum located at Gelsenkirchener Str. 181. The total journey should take around 15-20 minutes.

If you are near the city center, walk towards the Grugapark. From the park entrance, head towards the main road, Gelsenkirchener Str. Once you reach the main road, turn right and continue walking straight for approximately 30 minutes. The Red Dot Design Museum will be on your left at Gelsenkirchener Str. 181. This is a pleasant walk, and you can enjoy the surroundings.
