Getting There

  • Public Transport

    If you are at Essen Hauptbahnhof (the main train station), take the U11 tram towards Messe/Gruga. Board the tram at platform B and enjoy a short ride of about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Messeplatz' stop. From there, you will see the entrance to Grugapark directly ahead, just a short walk across the street.

    If you are near the city center, you can walk to Grugapark. Start at the Steele train station and head south on Kaiserstraße for about 1 km. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Bismarckstraße. Turn right onto Bismarckstraße, and after approximately 500 meters, you will find the entrance to Grugapark on your left.
