From Essen Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the U11 underground line towards Messe/Gruga. Get off at either 'Messe Ost/Gruga' for the main entrance or 'Messe West/Süd/Gruga' for entrances near the Grugabad (pool) and Lührmannstraße. Alternatively, take the U17 line to 'Margarethenhöhe/Endstation' and walk approximately 5 minutes to the Model Garden entrance. A single ticket within Essen (Preisstufe A) costs approximately €2.80.

Grugapark is located next to the Messe Essen exhibition center and is accessible via the A52 motorway (Rüttenscheid or Margarethenhöhe exit). Follow the signs for 'Messe Essen' and 'Grugapark'. Parking is available at the Messe Essen parking lots. Visitors to Grugapark can get a discounted daily parking fee of €8 by having their parking ticket validated at the Grugapark ticket offices at the main entrance or Grugabad entrance upon entering the park. Without validation, regular hourly rates apply, potentially costing more. Please pay the parking fee after your Grugapark visit.
