Public Transport
From Solingen Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take bus line 683 towards Burger Bahnhof. Alight at the Solingen-Burg Seilbahn stop, which is a short walk to the base of the chairlift or the hiking path leading up to Schloss Burg. The bus ride takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Driving
From the A1 motorway, take the Wermelskirchen exit. Follow the signs towards Solingen-Burg. Note that the official address may not lead directly to the parking area. Use Wermelskirchener Str. 2, 42659 Solingen in your GPS for the parking lot near the castle. Parking fees apply at the Schloss Burg parking area. Alternative free parking is available further down the hill, with a longer walk or chairlift ride to the castle.
Chairlift
From Unterburg, take the Seilbahn Burg (chairlift) up to Schloss Burg. A one-way ticket costs approximately €3, and a round-trip ticket is around €4.50. The chairlift operates from Tuesday to Sunday and offers stunning views of the Wupper River and surrounding forests.
