Public Transport - Train
If you're starting from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (the main train station), take the S3, S21, or S31 train towards Elbgaustraße or Stade. Get off at the station 'Hamburg-Harburg' and transfer to the S-Bahn line S2 towards Bergedorf. Disembark at the 'HafenCity Universität' stop. From there, it is a 10-minute walk to Marco-Polo-Terrassen. Exit the station, head towards the Elbe river, and follow the signs for HafenCity.
Public Transport - Bus
From the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, take bus line 111 towards 'HafenCity Universität'. Ride for 5 stops and get off at 'HafenCity Universität'. After disembarking, walk approximately 10 minutes towards the Elbe river, following the waterfront until you reach Marco-Polo-Terrassen.
Walking
If you are already in the HafenCity area, simply walk towards the Elbe river. Follow the waterfront promenade, and you will see Marco-Polo-Terrassen. It is a pleasant 15-minute walk from the Elbphilharmonie, following the path along the water.
Public Transport - Ferry
From the Landungsbrücken ferry terminal, take the ferry line 72 towards 'Finkenwerder'. After a short ride, get off at 'Dockland'. From there, it's a 10-minute scenic walk along the river to Marco-Polo-Terrassen, with beautiful views of the harbor.
