Public Transport
The Reesendamm Bridge is directly accessible via the Jungfernstieg U-Bahn (U1, U2, U4) and S-Bahn (S1, S2, S3) station. From the station, follow signs for Jungfernstieg/Binnenalster. The bridge is located at the edge of the Binnenalster, easily visible upon exiting the station. A single ride within Hamburg (rings A & B) costs approximately €3.60.
Walking
From Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), the Reesendamm Bridge is approximately a 10-15 minute walk. Exit the station towards the city center (towards Mönckebergstraße). Walk along Mönckebergstraße until you reach the Binnenalster. The Reesendamm Bridge will be on your left, connecting to the Jungfernstieg promenade. This is a straightforward, pedestrian-friendly route.
Taxi/Ride-Share
A taxi or ride-share from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof to the Reesendamm Bridge typically costs between €8-€12, depending on traffic. The journey takes approximately 5-10 minutes. Ask the driver to take you to Jungfernstieg, near the Alsterarkaden. Note that traffic can be heavy in this area, especially during peak hours.
Driving
Driving directly to the Reesendamm Bridge is not recommended due to limited parking and heavy traffic. If driving, follow the 'red' Hamburg city parking guidance system to the Ballindamm/Alstertor area and the Europa Passage car park or Q-Park City-Parkhaus. Parking fees at Europa Passage are approximately €4.00 per hour, with a maximum daily rate of €36.00. From the car park, it's a short walk to the Jungfernstieg and the Reesendamm Bridge.
