Getting There

• Public Transport

  If you are starting from Hannover Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), take the U-Bahn (underground train) line U1 towards Sarstedt. Get off at the stop 'Königsworther Platz', which is approximately a 10-minute ride. Once you exit the train, follow the signs to the bus stop. From there, board the bus number 100 or 200 towards 'Wunstorf' or 'Langenhagen'. Get off at the stop 'Maschsee'. After disembarking, walk towards the lake, and you will see the Maschseefontäne in front of you, located at Arthur-Menge-Ufer 3.

• Walking

  If you are staying in the city center, a pleasant walk to the Maschseefontäne is possible. Start from the historic Market Square (Marktplatz) and head south towards the Wishing Well (Wishing Well Square). From there, continue straight down the Georgstraße until you reach the Maschsee. This walk takes approximately 25 minutes and offers a beautiful view of the city and the lake. Once at the lake, walk along the promenade until you reach Arthur-Menge-Ufer where the fountain is located.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing services available in Hannover. Start at the city center and head towards the Maschsee. Follow the bike lanes south along the Georgstraße, leading directly to the lake. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes, and there are bike racks available near the Maschseefontäne for you to park your bike safely.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a direct route, you can also take a taxi from anywhere in the city. Just tell the driver to take you to 'Maschseefontäne, Arthur-Menge-Ufer 3'. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
