Getting There

    If you are traveling by car, start by driving towards Wernigerode. From Wernigerode, follow the signs for the B4 road. Once you are on B4, proceed towards the Brockenstraße. This road leads directly to the base of the Brocken mountain. There is a parking area available at the end of Brockenstraße, but please note that there is a parking fee which typically costs around 5-10 Euros. From the parking area, you will need to walk approximately 10-15 minutes to reach the Brockenhaus.

    For those using public transportation, take a train to Wernigerode station. From Wernigerode, you can catch the Brockenbahn (the narrow-gauge railway) which is a scenic train ride that takes you directly to the top of the Brocken mountain. The train operates hourly, and a round trip ticket costs around 30-40 Euros. Once you arrive at the Brocken train station, it's just a short walk (about 5 minutes) to the Brockenhaus.
