Getting There

• By Car

  If you're traveling by car within Harz National Park, head towards Goslar. From the heart of the park, use the main roads (B241 or B82) to navigate towards the town. Follow signs to Goslar and once you enter the town, look for signs to the city center (Zentrum). Market Square is located at Markt 6, 38640 Goslar. There are various public parking options available near the square, but be aware that there may be parking fees ranging from €1 to €2 per hour.

• By Public Transportation

  To reach Market Square using public transportation, you can take a bus from various locations in Harz National Park. Check for local bus services that route towards Goslar. The most common bus lines are 820 and 830, which connect to Goslar station. Get off at the Goslar Stadtmitte stop. From there, it's a 5-minute walk to Market Square. Simply head east on Breite Straße, then turn left onto Marktstraße; the square will be straight ahead. A single bus ticket typically costs around €2 to €3.

• Walking from Goslar Stadtmitte

  If you're already in the Goslar area, you can easily walk to Market Square. From the Goslar Stadtmitte bus stop, head east on Breite Straße for approximately 400 meters. After about 5 minutes of walking, you will reach Marktstraße; turn left, and you will see Market Square directly ahead. This is a pleasant walk through the town and does not incur any additional costs.
