From any location in Harz National Park, drive towards Wernigerode. Use the B244 road, which leads directly to the Brocken area. Follow the signs for Brockenbahn (the Brocken Railway) as you approach Wernigerode. There is a parking area available at the base of the Brocken. Note that parking costs approximately €4 for the day. After parking, you can take the Brockenbahn, a scenic steam train that takes you up to the summit of Brocken, the mountain where Sendeturm Brocken is located. The train ride costs around €27 for a round trip.
