If you are traveling by car, head towards the city of Eschwege in Hesse. From the center of Eschwege, take B27 towards Witzenhausen. After approximately 8 km, turn left onto L3247 towards Schlierbach. Continue on L3247 for about 4 km until you reach the entrance of Schlierbachswald. There is free parking available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Schlierbachswald using public transportation, take a train to Eschwege. From Frankfurt, you can take the RE30 train towards Göttingen, which takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at Eschwege station, exit the station and take bus line 18 (direction: Witzenhausen) from the bus stop in front of the station. Get off at the 'Schlierbach' stop. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the entrance of Schlierbachswald. The bus fare is approximately €2.80.
Bicycle
For the adventurous, cycling to Schlierbachswald is a great option. If you are in Eschwege, you can rent a bicycle and follow the cycling paths from the city center. Head towards B27 and follow the same route as cars. The ride is about 12 km and can take around 40 minutes, depending on your pace. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow the traffic rules.
