Mint bistro occupies the striking light-filled foyer of the ZKM | Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe, blending casual dining with contemporary art surroundings. This versatile spot serves as café, bar, and catering hub, emphasizing fresh, homemade dishes crafted from seasonal and regional produce, including items from their own garden. The menu rotates weekly, prioritizing vegetarian and vegan choices with options to add meat or fish.

From Wednesday to Friday between 12:00 and 14:00, the lunchtime menu features creamy soups like watercress, daily salads with customizable toppings, innovative mains such as Macaire potatoes on mushroom ragout with broccoli or Greek meatball bowls with tzatziki and marinated vegetables. Weekends bring soups, snacks, and an array of house-made cakes from their in-house patisserie. Signature items include homemade focaccia topped with vegan aubergine-peanut cream, pesto, and grilled vegetables, alongside fresh pasta like roasted halloumi carbonara.

Beverages shine with house-roasted coffee specialties, organic Sonnentor teas, homemade hot chocolate, smoothies, iced teas, and lemonades. The patisserie produces all sweets in-house: tortes, pralines, muffins, jams, chutneys, and muesli, many available lactose-free, gluten-free, or vegan. Mini portions cater to children, making it family-friendly.

Master patissiers offer 2.5-hour baking classes for 85 euros, including samples, Prosecco, and drinks. Birthday packages in the ZKM foyer provide decorated tables with pasta, muffins, cakes, and drinks for kids at 7-13.50 euros per child. Catering by team member Marcus Böker handles events from finger food to buffets for up to 800 standing guests.
