    From Schwabing, start at the nearest tram stop, for example, 'München Effnerplatz'. Take the Tram Line 16 or 17 towards 'Sendlinger Tor'. After about 15 minutes, get off at 'Karlsplatz (Stachus)'. From there, walk straight on 'Neuhauser Str.' for about 10 minutes until you reach the 'Marienplatz'. Here, you can see the New Town Hall. Continue walking straight through the 'Rindermarkt' and 'St.-Jakobs-Platz'. You'll reach 'Hofgartenstraße'. The Hofgarten will be on your right at Hofgartenstraße 1.

    From Schwabing, head to the nearest U-Bahn station, for instance, 'München Universität'. Take the U-Bahn Line U6 in the direction of 'Sendlinger Tor'. After 4 stops, get off at 'Marienplatz'. Transfer here to Tram Line 19 towards 'Pasing'. Get off at 'Hofgarten' (2 stops). The Hofgarten is directly across from the tram stop at Hofgartenstraße 1.

    If you're comfortable cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing services in Schwabing. Start cycling south towards the city center. Follow 'Lothstraße', then turn onto 'Hohenzollernstraße'. Continue straight until you reach 'Wittelsbacherplatz'. From there, follow 'Hofgartenstraße' directly to Hofgarten. The total distance is approximately 3 km and should take about 15-20 minutes.
