Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the city center, head towards the Prinzipalmarkt. From there, exit the square onto the Breite Strasse and continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Alter Steinweg. Turn left onto Alter Steinweg, then continue straight. Follow the street until you reach the intersection with the Bismarckallee. Turn right onto Bismarckallee and walk straight. You will soon see the Platz des Westfälischen Friedens on your left, located near the historic buildings.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental stations around the city. Start your journey from the city center, cycling towards the Aasee park. Head northwest along the scenic paths around the lake. Follow the signs towards the city center while keeping the Aasee on your right. As you approach the city center, navigate towards the Bismarckallee. Take a left turn onto Bismarckallee, and you will soon arrive at Platz des Westfälischen Friedens, which will be on your left.

    Take bus line 5 from the Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station) towards 'Wolbeck'. Get off at the 'Stadtmuseum' stop. From there, walk down the street towards the 'Schlossplatz'.
