Car
If you're driving, head towards the town of Emden and follow the signs for the ferry terminal. The address for the ferry terminal is 'Borkumer Hafen, 26757 Borkum'. Purchase a ferry ticket at the terminal, which costs approximately €15 for adults and €7.50 for children (one way). The ferry ride takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Borkum, head east on Strandstraße, and the New Lighthouse Borkum will be on your left, just a short walk from the ferry terminal.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take a train to Emden Central Station. From there, you can either walk to the ferry terminal (approximately 15 minutes) or take a bus (Bus line 1 towards Emden Nord, then transfer to Bus line 3 towards Borkum). Once you arrive at the Borkum ferry terminal, purchase your ferry ticket for around €15 for adults. After a 50-minute ferry ride to Borkum, exit the ferry, walk east on Strandstraße, and you will reach the New Lighthouse Borkum in under 10 minutes.
Ferry
For both car and public transportation travelers, the ferry is essential to reach Borkum Island. Tickets can be purchased at the terminal or online. Ensure to check the ferry schedule in advance, as times may vary. After disembarking from the ferry, follow the signs to Strandstraße, where the New Lighthouse Borkum is located at Strandstraße 28.
