Discovering the Sonnenuhr: A Timeless Attraction in Nuremberg

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Nuremberg's main train station (Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head towards the north exit. Once outside, walk straight along Bahnhofstraße until you reach the intersection with Königstraße. Turn right onto Königstraße and walk until you reach the Lorenzkirche (St. Lawrence Church), which is a well-known landmark. From the church, continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Gewerbemuseumsplatz. The Sonnenuhr is located on Gewerbemuseumsplatz 2, right next to the German National Museum.

• Public Transport

  From the main train station (Hauptbahnhof), take the U-Bahn (subway) line U1 towards Langwasser Süd. Get off at the 'Färberstraße' station (about 3 stops). Once you exit the station, walk west on Färberstraße until you reach the intersection with Gewerbemuseumsplatz. The Sonnenuhr is located at Gewerbemuseumsplatz 2, close to the German National Museum.

  If you are in the Nuremberg Old Town, head towards the central square (Hauptmarkt). From there, walk east towards the German National Museum, which is easily recognizable. As you approach the museum, look for the Gewerbemuseumsplatz on your left. The Sonnenuhr is located at Gewerbemuseumsplatz 2, adjacent to the museum.
