If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, Eschenbach in der Oberpfalz. Head south on B299 towards Rußweiher. After approximately 3 km, follow the signs directing you to Rußweiher. The parking area is located near the lake, which is easily accessible.
Public Transportation
To reach Rußweiher using public transportation, take a regional train to Eschenbach in der Oberpfalz. From the train station, you can take bus line 26 toward Ebnath. Get off at the 'Rußweiher' stop. The lake is a short walk from the bus stop. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited on weekends.
Walking
If you are already in Eschenbach and prefer walking, you can take a scenic route to Rußweiher. From the town center, walk along the main road (B299) heading south. After about 30 minutes (approximately 2.5 km), you will see signs for Rußweiher directing you off the main road. The path will lead you through beautiful forested areas until you reach the lake.
