Car
If you're driving, head towards Drebach. From the A4 Autobahn, take exit 76-Drebach. Follow B101 towards Drebach, and then take the B173 towards Scharfenstein. Continue on this road until you reach Schloßberg 1, where Scharfenstein Castle is located. There is parking available near the castle.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, take a train to Chemnitz Hbf (main station). From there, catch the bus line 242 towards Drebach. Get off at the 'Drebach, Schule' stop, which is the closest stop to the castle. From there, it's a short 15-minute walk uphill to Schloßberg 1, where the castle is located. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may be limited on weekends.
Walking
Once you arrive at the 'Drebach, Schule' bus stop, head east on Schulstraße, then turn left onto Drebacher Straße. Follow this road as it winds and gradually ascends towards the castle. Look for signs directing you to Scharfenstein Castle, which will be visible from a distance as you approach.
