Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Annaberg-Buchholz. Take the B101 road towards the Czech Republic. Follow the signs to the border and cross into the Czech Republic. Once you cross the border, continue on the road until you reach Měděnec. You may need to navigate to the coordinates (50.421167, 13.107167) using your GPS. Parking is available near the peak.
Public Transport
For public transport, take a train from Annaberg-Buchholz to the nearest station, which is in the Czech town of Chomutov. From Chomutov, you will need to take a local bus towards Měděnec. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service may be limited. Upon arrival in Měděnec, it’s a short walk to the mountain peak.
Walking
Once you arrive in Měděnec by car or public transport, the last stretch to Mědník itself involves a bit of walking. From Měděnec, follow the signs leading to Mědník peak. The path is well-marked, and it takes approximately 20-30 minutes to reach the top, offering beautiful views along the way. Ensure you wear comfortable walking shoes.
