Public Transport
If you're in central Potsdam, start by heading to the Potsdam Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station). From there, take the S-Bahn (S7 or S5) towards Berlin. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station) stop. After exiting the station, follow the signs to the underground station and take the U-Bahn line U55 towards Brandenburger Tor. Get off at the 'Brandenburger Tor' stop. From there, walk east on Ebertstraße, then turn left onto Wilhelmstraße. Continue straight until you reach Bertolt-Brecht-Platz, where the Berliner Ensemble is located at Bertolt-Brecht-Platz 1.
Walking
If you're already in the vicinity of the city center in Potsdam, you may first want to reach the nearest tram or bus stop. From there, take a tram line (like tram 91 or 96) to Potsdam Hauptbahnhof. From Potsdam Hauptbahnhof, take the S-Bahn (S7 or S5) towards Berlin. Once you reach Berlin Hauptbahnhof, follow the previous instructions to reach Bertolt-Brecht-Platz by U-Bahn and then by walking.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike in Potsdam. Start from the city center and head towards the S-Bahn station at Potsdam Hauptbahnhof. Follow the bike lanes along the main roads, such as Friedrich-Ebert-Straße, leading towards Berlin. Once you arrive at Berlin, continue towards the Reichstag building and then to the Brandenburger Tor. From there, it's a short bike ride to Bertolt-Brecht-Platz, where the Berliner Ensemble is located.
