Getting There

• U-Bahn

  If you are near any U-Bahn station in Berlin, take the U6 line towards Alt-Mariendorf or the U2 line towards Pankow. If you are on the U6, get off at Friedrichstraße station. If you are on the U2 line, transfer to the S-Bahn at Potsdamer Platz station. From Friedrichstraße, follow the signs to the S-Bahn and catch the S3, S5, S7, or S9 towards Spandau. Get off at the next stop, which is 'Brandenburger Tor'. Once you exit the station, head west towards Pariser Platz, and you will find Berliner Ensemble at Bertolt-Brecht-Platz 1.

• Bus

  From any central location, find the nearest bus stop and take the bus that heads towards 'Brandenburger Tor'. Buses 100, 200, and TXL are good options. Once you reach the Brandenburger Tor stop, you can easily walk to Berliner Ensemble, which is just a short 5-minute walk away. Head east on Ebertstraße, then turn left onto Wilhelmstraße and follow it until you reach Bertolt-Brecht-Platz.

• Tram

  If you are near a tram stop, you can take Tram line M1 or M6. If you are on line M1, get off at the stop 'Brandenburger Tor'. For M6, get off at 'Reichstag'. Both stops are within walking distance of Berliner Ensemble. From 'Brandenburger Tor', walk east on Ebertstraße and turn left onto Wilhelmstraße. From 'Reichstag', walk south towards the river and head east until you reach Bertolt-Brecht-Platz.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Mitte district, you can simply walk to Berliner Ensemble. Locate the Brandenburg Gate (Brandenburger Tor) and from there, walk east along Ebertstraße. After a few minutes, turn left onto Wilhelmstraße and continue until you reach Bertolt-Brecht-Platz 1. The theater is located directly at this address.
