Getting There

• Train

  From Potsdam Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the S7 or S5 train towards Berlin. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the station 'Zoologischer Garten'. Once you exit the station, head towards the main street, and you will see the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church (Gedächtniskirche) directly ahead.

• Bus

  From Potsdam, take bus line 605 or 606 to the 'Potsdam, Platz der Einheit' stop. From there, transfer to bus line 695 towards 'Berlin, S-Bahnhof Grunewald'. Get off at the 'Zoologischer Garten' stop. Walk straight ahead from the bus stop for about 5 minutes to reach the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church at Breitscheidplatz.

• Tram

  Take tram line 91 from Potsdam to 'S+U Zoologischer Garten' station. The tram ride will take about 35 minutes. After exiting the tram, walk about 5 minutes towards Breitscheidplatz, and you will see the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Potsdam. Start from the city center and follow the bike path along the Havel River, heading towards Berlin. It’s approximately a 12 km ride. Once you reach Berlin, follow signs to the center, and you should reach Breitscheidplatz where the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is located.

• Walking

  For the adventurous, you can walk from central Potsdam to Berlin. It’s about a 30-minute walk to the S-Bahn station at 'Potsdam Hauptbahnhof'. From there, take the S7 or S5 to 'Zoologischer Garten'. Alternatively, if you want a longer walk, it takes about 1.5 hours to walk directly to Breitscheidplatz from the center of Potsdam.
