To reach the Neptune Fountain located at Rathausstraße 1 in Berlin from Potsdam, start by taking the S-Bahn (S7 or S5) from Potsdam Hauptbahnhof (the main train station) towards Berlin. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Disembark at the Friedrichstraße station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the U-Bahn station. Take the U6 line towards Alt-Mariendorf and get off at the Stadtmitte station. From Stadtmitte, it’s a short 10-minute walk. Exit the station and head north towards Friedrichstraße, then turn right onto Friedrichstraße. Continue until you reach the intersection with Rathausstraße and turn left. The Neptune Fountain will be on your right.
Bus
You can take the bus from Potsdam to Berlin. Head to the Potsdam ZOB (central bus station) and take a bus to Berlin Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. From Berlin Hauptbahnhof, you can either walk to the Neptune Fountain, which is about a 20-minute walk, or take the S-Bahn. If you choose to walk, exit the bus station and head southeast towards the Spree River, cross the river, and continue along the road until you reach the intersection with Rathausstraße. The Neptune Fountain will be right ahead.
Bicycle
For those adventurous enough to cycle, rent a bicycle in Potsdam and follow the dedicated bike paths towards Berlin. The ride to the city center takes about an hour. You can take the well-marked path along the Havel River, passing through scenic areas. Once you reach Berlin, continue towards Mitte. Use bike lanes to navigate through the city until you reach Rathausstraße. The Neptune Fountain is easily visible as you approach the Rathausstraße 1 address.
