Travel Guide to Obeliskportal

Getting There

• Public Transport - Bus

  If you are starting from Potsdam's main train station (Potsdam Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head to the bus terminal located just outside. Look for bus number 605 or 606, which will take you towards the 'Hauptallee' stop. After approximately 10 minutes, you will arrive at 'Hauptallee'. Once you get off the bus, walk along Hauptallee in the direction of the Obeliskportal, which is approximately a 5-minute walk straight ahead.

• Walking

  If you are already in the city center, you can easily walk to the Obeliskportal. Start at the Brandenburg Gate (Brandenburger Tor), which is a well-known landmark. From there, head south on Friedrich-Ebert-Straße until you reach the intersection with Hauptallee. Turn left onto Hauptallee and continue walking for about 15 minutes. You will see the Obeliskportal on your right, set in the beautiful park area.

• Public Transport - Tram

  From the city center, you can also take a tram. Head to the nearest tram stop, 'Luisenplatz', and board tram line 91 towards 'Zentrum.' After 4 stops, get off at 'Am Alten Markt.' From there, walk south on Friedrich-Ebert-Straße until you reach Hauptallee. Turn left and walk for about 10 minutes until you see the Obeliskportal on your right.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental stations around Potsdam. Start from the city center and head towards the park areas. Follow the bike paths leading to Hauptallee. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Once you reach Hauptallee, continue straight until you arrive at the Obeliskportal.
