Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Potsdam, head to the Potsdam Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station). You can take the S-Bahn (S7 or S5) towards Berlin. Once on the train, stay on for about 30 minutes until you reach Berlin's Alexanderplatz. From Alexanderplatz, transfer to the U-Bahn (U2) towards Pankow. Get off at the Eberswalder Straße station. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the Synagoge Rykestraße. Exit the station and head northeast on Eberswalder Straße. Continue straight until you reach Rykestraße, then turn left. The synagogue will be on your right at Rykestraße 53.

    Start at Potsdam Hauptbahnhof and take bus line 605 towards 'S-Bahnhof Griebnitzsee'. You will need to get off at the final stop, which is 'S-Bahnhof Griebnitzsee'. From there, take the S7 or S5 towards Berlin. Once you reach Alexanderplatz, switch to U-Bahn line U2 towards Pankow. Alight at Eberswalder Straße station and walk for about 10 minutes to reach the Synagoge Rykestraße. Exit the station, head northeast on Eberswalder Straße, then turn left onto Rykestraße, where you will find the synagogue at number 53.

    If you prefer to walk or cycle, first reach the S-Bahn station in Potsdam and take either the S7 or S5 towards Berlin. After arriving at Alexanderplatz, you can either continue to Eberswalder Straße by U-Bahn or walk approximately 30 minutes from Alexanderplatz. To walk, head east from Alexanderplatz towards Karl-Liebknecht-Straße, then continue onto Torstraße until you reach Eberswalder Straße. From there, walk straight until you reach Rykestraße and take a left to find the synagogue at number 53.
