If you are in the city center of Potsdam, start at the Brandenburg Gate (Brandenburger Tor), a well-known landmark. From the Brandenburg Gate, head southwest on Friedrich-Ebert-Straße. Continue straight for about 1.5 km, passing through the square at Platz der Einheit. You will eventually reach the intersection with Am Neuen Palais.
