Walking
If you are starting from the Potsdam Central Station (Potsdam Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head towards the main road, which is the Babelsberger Straße. Turn left and walk straight for about 15 minutes. Continue walking until you reach the Luisenplatz, a large square. From Luisenplatz, head towards the left side where you will see the Brandenburg Gate. Walk past it and continue straight until you reach Am Alten Markt. The Obelisk will be located on your right in the square.

Public Transport
From the Potsdam Central Station (Potsdam Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 91 or 96 towards 'Potsdam, Jägertor'. The journey will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Potsdam, Jägertor' stop. From there, walk straight towards the Luisenplatz and then turn right onto Am Alten Markt. The Obelisk is located in the square on your left-hand side.

If you are starting from the Sanssouci Park, exit the park through the main gate at the end of the park and head towards the main road. Turn left and walk towards the city center for about 20 minutes. You will pass the Orangerie Palace. Continue straight until you reach Luisenplatz, then head towards Am Alten Markt where the Obelisk is located.
