Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town in the Rhine Valley, such as Koblenz. From Koblenz, take the B9 road heading north along the Rhine River. After approximately 15 kilometers, take the exit toward Lahnstein. Follow the signs for Lahnstein and merge onto the B260. Continue straight for about 5 kilometers until you reach Schlossstraße. Turn right onto Schlossstraße, and the castle will be on your left. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that some areas may charge a fee.
Public Transportation
To reach Schloss Martinsburg using public transportation, start by taking a train from Koblenz Hauptbahnhof to Lahnstein Bahnhof. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Lahnstein Bahnhof, exit the station and catch bus number 6 toward Lahnstein Stadtmitte. Get off at the 'Schlossstraße' stop, which is just a short walk from Schloss Martinsburg. The castle is located at Schlossstraße 1, 56112 Lahnstein. Be sure to check the latest bus schedules, as they may vary throughout the day.
Walking
If you are staying close to the center of Lahnstein, you can also walk to Schloss Martinsburg. From the town center, head north on Wilhelmstraße towards Schlossstraße. Continue straight until you reach Schlossstraße, then turn left. The castle is approximately a 15-minute walk from the town center. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
