Car
If you are traveling by car, head to the A3 motorway and exit at 'Bad Ems'. Follow the B260 towards Braubach. As you approach Braubach, follow the signs for 'Marksburg Castle'. There is a parking area available near the castle. Please note that there is a parking fee of around €3. From the parking area, it's a short uphill walk to the castle entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Marksburg by public transport, take a train to Braubach station from any major city in the Rhineland area. From the station, you can either walk to the castle, which takes approximately 20-30 minutes uphill, or take a local bus (Line 651 or 652) that services the area. Ensure to check the bus schedule as services may vary. A bus ticket costs around €2.50.
