If you are starting from Rostock city center (e.g., the main train station, Rostock Hauptbahnhof), head to the nearby bus stop. Take bus number 24 towards 'Rostock Zoo'. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Rostock Zoo'. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance of the zoo, which is located at Barnstorfer Ring 1.

If you are close to the city center, you can walk to Rostock Zoo. Start at the Kröpeliner Tor, and head south on Kröpeliner Straße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Barnstorfer Ring. Turn right on Barnstorfer Ring and walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will find the zoo entrance on your left at Barnstorfer Ring 1.
