Car
If you are traveling by car, start from any location in Rügen Island and head towards Sassnitz. Follow the signs for B96 towards Sassnitz. Once you reach Sassnitz, follow the signs to the harbor area. Continue on Hafenstraße and then turn onto Ostmole. The Leuchtturm Sassnitz (Lighthouse) will be directly ahead at the end of Ostmole. There is a parking area nearby where you can leave your car. Note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around 2-5 EUR for a few hours.

To reach Leuchtturm Sassnitz by bus, find the nearest bus stop and take a bus towards Sassnitz. Buses regularly run from various towns on the island including Bergen and Binz. Make sure to check the bus schedule as times may vary. Once you arrive at Sassnitz, disembark at the 'Sassnitz, Ostmole' bus stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the lighthouse along Ostmole. The bus fare is generally around 3-5 EUR depending on your starting location.

If you are coming from further away, consider taking a train to Sassnitz. The nearest train station is in Sassnitz. From the train station, you can either take a local bus (see Bus instructions above) or enjoy a scenic 20-minute walk to the lighthouse. Simply head east from the station towards the harbor area, then follow the road to Ostmole. Train fares vary based on your departure point but generally range from 10-20 EUR.

For those staying in Sassnitz or nearby accommodations, walking to Leuchtturm Sassnitz is a pleasant option. From central Sassnitz, head towards the harbor area and proceed along Hafenstraße.
