If you are driving, head towards Dortmund. From the A40 motorway, take the exit towards B54/Emscherstraße. Continue on B54 and follow signs for Dortmund until you reach Mergelteichstraße. Turn right onto Mergelteichstraße. The Dortmund Zoo will be on your left at Mergelteichstraße 80, 44225 Dortmund. There is parking available nearby.

To reach Dortmund Zoo via public transport, take the U-Bahn (subway) line U47 from Dortmund Hauptbahnhof (main station) towards 'Huckarde Bahnhof'. After 6 stops, get off at 'Hombruch' station. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk. Exit the station and head east on Hombrucher Allee, then turn left onto Mergelteichstraße. Continue straight until you reach the zoo entrance at Mergelteichstraße 80.
