If you are in Detmold city center, Wilde Wiese is easily accessible by foot. Head south on Leopoldstraße. Continue straight for approximately 1.5 km until you reach Wilde Wiese at Leopoldstraße 1A. The walk should take around 20 minutes and offers a pleasant view of the surrounding area.
Public Transport
To reach Wilde Wiese via public transport, head to Detmold Hauptbahnhof (main train station). From there, take bus line 703 towards Hiddesen. The journey takes about 15 minutes, and you should get off at the 'Wilde Wiese' stop. Bus tickets can be purchased from ticket machines at the station or on the bus. The fare is approximately €2.50. Wilde Wiese is a short walk from the bus stop.
Driving
If traveling by car, from the center of Detmold, head south on Leopoldstraße towards B239. Continue on B239 for approximately 2 km. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto B1. After about 4 km, take the exit towards Hiddesen. Follow the signs for Hiddesen, and after about 1 km, you will arrive at Wilde Wiese, located at Leopoldstraße 1A, 32756 Detmold. Parking is available nearby at Parkplatz Bezirksregierung, Leopoldstraße 15. Parking costs €1 per hour, with a maximum daily rate of €7.50. Parking is free on Sundays.
