Car

If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to the nearest major city, Amberg, which is approximately 30 kilometers from Schloss Neidstein. From Amberg, take the B299 towards Etzelwang. After about 20 kilometers, turn right onto the B299 and follow the signs for Etzelwang. Once you reach the village of Etzelwang, continue to follow the signs for Neidstein. The castle is located at Neidstein 1, 92268 Etzelwang. There is parking available nearby.

Public Transportation

To reach Schloss Neidstein via public transportation, you can take a train to Amberg from various towns in Upper Palatinate. Once you arrive at Amberg, transfer to bus line 23 or 24 towards Etzelwang. The bus will take you close to Neidstein. Get off at the 'Etzelwang' stop and walk approximately 15 minutes following the signs to Neidstein. The bus fare is typically around €2-€5 depending on the distance.

Bicycle

For those who enjoy cycling, you can bike to Schloss Neidstein from nearby towns like Amberg or Ursensollen. There are cycling paths along the B299 road that lead to Etzelwang.
