Car
If you're traveling by car, start from any location in Upper Rhine and navigate to the A5 motorway. Follow signs for the A5 towards Basel. After crossing into Switzerland, continue on the A4 towards Zurich. Take exit 36 towards Neuhausen am Rheinfall. Follow the signs for Rhine Falls, which is approximately 10 minutes from the exit. There is parking available near the falls, but expect to pay around CHF 5-10 for parking.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, head to the nearest train station in Upper Rhine, such as in Freiburg or Basel. From Freiburg, take a train towards Zurich HB (main station). Change trains at either Zurich HB or Schaffhausen to catch a direct train to Neuhausen am Rheinfall. The total journey may take around 2 - 2.5 hours. Upon arrival at Neuhausen am Rheinfall station, follow the signs to Rhine Falls, which is about a 15-minute walk. Ensure you have a Swiss Travel Pass or local ticket, which will cost approximately CHF 20-30 one way.
Bus
Alternatively, you can take a bus from nearby cities such as Schaffhausen. From Schaffhausen, take bus line 6 or 10 directly to the Rhine Falls. The bus ride lasts about 30 minutes. Check the local bus schedules for exact timings. A single bus ticket costs around CHF 5.
