Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the central area of Accra, start at Kwame Nkrumah Circle. From the circle, head towards the south on the George Bush Highway. Walk for about 15 minutes until you reach the junction with the Independence Avenue. Turn left onto Independence Avenue, and continue walking for another 10 minutes. You will see Independence Arch on your right side. It is located near the entrance of the Black Star Square.

  • Public Transport (Trotro)

    From Osu, find a trotro with the sign 'Circle' or 'Kaneshie' on it. Board the trotro and ride until you reach the Kwame Nkrumah Circle. From there, get off and walk south towards the George Bush Highway. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach Independence Avenue. Turn left and walk for another 10 minutes until you see Independence Arch on your right side.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a taxi, you can easily find one in Accra. Tell the driver to take you to Independence Arch or Black Star Square. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the Independence Arch will be visible at the entrance of Black Star Square.
