Car
From Busua, head east on the main road towards Akwidaa. After approximately 5 kilometers, keep an eye out for the sign for Fort Dorothea. The fort is located at QX37+5P7, Akwidaa, which will be on your right side. There is no entrance fee, but you may want to check with local guides for any optional tours.
Public Transportation
Start by taking a trotro (shared minibus) from Busua to Akwidaa. Look for the trotro station near the beach. The fare is typically around 2 GHS. Once you arrive in Akwidaa, you can either walk (about 15 minutes) or take a local taxi for approximately 10 GHS to reach Fort Dorothea. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the fort location at QX37+5P7.
