Walking
If you're starting from the Cape Coast Castle, exit the castle grounds and head towards the main road (Cape Coast - Takoradi Road). Turn left and walk along the road. You'll notice the ocean on your right side. Continue walking for about 15-20 minutes; you'll see a sign for Sankofa Beach on your left. Follow the path leading to the beach. The walk is pleasant and offers a chance to see local life.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Cape Coast. Start from the center of Cape Coast and head towards Cape Coast Castle. Once you reach the castle, continue along the Cape Coast - Takoradi Road. After 15 minutes of cycling, you will see a sign for Sankofa Beach on your left. Turn left and follow the path to the beach. Cycling is a great way to enjoy the scenery along the coast.
Public Transport (Trotro)
Find a 'trotro' (shared minibus) station in Cape Coast. Look for a trotro heading towards Takoradi. Get on and inform the driver to drop you off at the Sankofa Beach stop. This should take about 10-15 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs leading to Sankofa Beach, which is just a short walk away.
