Experience Bono Manso Waterfalls

Getting There

  • Car

    From Kintampo, head southwest on the N10 road towards Techiman. Continue for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Maaso road. Turn left onto the Maaso road (P5G6+H8) and drive for about 10 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Bono Manso Waterfalls. There may be a small parking area near the entrance. Note that some roads may be unpaved, so proceed with caution.

  • Public Transportation (Trotro)

    From Kintampo, go to the main trotro station. Look for a trotro heading towards Techiman. Inform the driver you want to get off at the Maaso junction. The trotro ride will cost around GHS 5-10. Once you reach the junction, you may need to hire a motorbike taxi (okada) to take you the remaining 10 kilometers to Bono Manso Waterfalls. The motorbike taxi should cost around GHS 15-20.

  • Walking (Last Leg)

    If you arrive at the Maaso junction by trotro, you can also choose to walk the last 10 kilometers to the waterfalls. Follow the dirt path leading towards the waterfalls. It’s a scenic route, but be prepared for some uneven terrain. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as it may take approximately 2-3 hours to walk.
