Start from the Koforidua City Centre, which is often considered the main hub. Head southeast towards the main road, which is the Koforidua-Accra Road. Once you reach the main road, look for a trotro (shared minibus) station. Take a trotro heading to Aburi. The fare is usually affordable, and the ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. The trotro will drop you off at the Aburi junction. From there, walk towards Botanical Gardens Avenue, following the signs or asking locals for directions. The gardens are about a 15-minute walk from the junction.

From the Koforidua main market area, walk to the nearby trotro station and board a trotro that goes to Aburi. Ensure you confirm with the driver that they will stop at the Aburi Botanical Gardens or at the Aburi junction. The journey will take about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Aburi junction, exit the trotro and walk towards Botanical Gardens Avenue, which will lead you directly to the gardens. It’s a pleasant walk, and locals will be able to guide you if you need assistance.
