From Koforidua, head to the main tro-tro station, which is located near the Koforidua Central Market. Look for a tro-tro heading to Accra, as they typically pass by the Shai Hills Resource Reserve. Ensure to inform the driver that you want to stop at the reserve. After about 30-40 minutes of travel, you will arrive at the junction for the Shai Hills Resource Reserve. Get off the tro-tro here.

After getting off the tro-tro at the junction, walk towards the entrance of the Shai Hills Resource Reserve. The entrance is approximately a 20-minute walk from the junction. Follow the signs along the road leading into the reserve. It's advisable to ask locals for directions if you're uncertain, as they are generally friendly and helpful.

Alternatively, if you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a local taxi from Koforidua. Negotiate a fare beforehand. The taxi will take you directly to the entrance of the Shai Hills Resource Reserve, which is about 30 minutes away depending on traffic conditions.
