Car
If you are driving from any location in Kwahu, head towards the main road leading out of town. Specifically, make your way to the Abetifi-Kwahu road. Continue on this road for about 15 minutes until you reach a junction near a sign that says 'Akaa Waterfalls'. Turn right at the junction and follow the dirt road for about 4 kilometers. The road may be bumpy, so drive carefully. You will see signs directing you towards the Akaa Waterfalls parking area. There is a small fee for parking, typically around 5 GHS.
Public Transportation (Trotro)
To reach Akaa Waterfalls using public transport, head to the nearest trotro station in Kwahu. Look for a trotro heading towards Abetifi or Asiafo Amanfro. The fare is usually between 3-5 GHS. Inform the driver or mate that you are going to Akaa Waterfalls. Once you arrive at Asiafo Amanfro, you will need to hire a local taxi or motorbike taxi (okada) to get to the waterfall entrance. The taxi ride should cost around 10-15 GHS. Note that public transport may have limited schedules, so plan your trip accordingly.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and are already in Asiafo Amanfro, you can walk to the Akaa Waterfalls. From the village center, head towards the main entrance of the waterfall which is about a 30-minute hike. Follow the signs along the path. Wear comfortable walking shoes, as the terrain can be uneven. This option is free but may require you to carry water and snacks for the trek.
