    If you are traveling by car, start from Tamale, the capital of the Northern Region. Head southeast on the N10 highway toward Kumasi. After approximately 97 kilometers, you will reach the junction for the Nkwanta road. Turn left onto the Nkwanta road and continue for about 40 kilometers until you reach the small town of Nkwanta. From Nkwanta, follow signs to Mount Afadja. The turn-off for Mount Afadja is well-marked and is about 15 kilometers from Nkwanta. Keep in mind that the roads can be winding and may require careful navigation.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Tamale to Nkwanta. Buses leave regularly from the Tamale central bus station. The journey will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Nkwanta, you can hire a local taxi to take you to Mount Afadja. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes and should cost around 20-30 GHS. Make sure to negotiate the price before starting the journey.
