Walking
Start from the Sekondi-Takoradi central market. Head south on Market Street towards the junction with the main road. At the junction, turn left onto the main road (Dixcove Road) and continue walking straight. After about 1.5 km, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the right fork towards Butre. Continue walking for another 2 km until you reach Butre village. As you enter the village, follow the signs towards Fort Batenstein. The fort is located just a short walk from the main road, in Butre, and can be easily accessed on foot.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Sekondi-Takoradi, preferably near the central market. Start your ride heading south towards the main road (Dixcove Road). Once on the road, cycle straight for approximately 1.5 km until you reach the fork. Take the right fork towards Butre and continue cycling for about 2 km. You will arrive in Butre village. Follow the signs to Fort Batenstein, which is just a short distance from the main road.

Public Transport (Tro-Tro)
Locate the nearest Tro-Tro station in Sekondi-Takoradi, typically found near the central market. Look for a Tro-Tro heading in the direction of Butre. Once you board, make sure to inform the driver of your destination, Fort Batenstein. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Butre, disembark and follow the signs to the fort, which is a short walk from the Tro-Tro drop-off point.
