The fort is located just a short walk from the main road, in Butre, and can be easily accessed on foot.

    Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Sekondi-Takoradi, preferably near the central market. Start your ride heading south towards the main road (Dixcove Road). Once on the road, cycle straight for approximately 1.5 km until you reach the fork. Take the right fork towards Butre and continue cycling for about 2 km. You will arrive in Butre village. Follow the signs to Fort Batenstein, which is just a short distance from the main road.
