Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the center of Sunyani, near the main bus station. Head southwest on the Sunyani-Kumasi Road (also known as the N6). Walk approximately 4 kilometers until you reach the Owabi River on your left. Continue walking along the road, and keep an eye out for signs pointing to Owabi Wildlife Sanctuary. After about 1 kilometer, you will see the entrance to the sanctuary on your left, marked by a sign.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Sunyani. Begin your journey by cycling south on the Sunyani-Kumasi Road (N6). Follow the road for about 4 kilometers until you reach the Owabi River. After passing the river, continue for another kilometer. Look for the sanctuary entrance on your left side, which will have clear signage indicating the Owabi Wildlife Sanctuary.

  • Public Transport (Tro-Tro)

    From the Sunyani central bus terminal, take a tro-tro heading towards Kumasi. Inform the driver that you are going to Owabi Wildlife Sanctuary. After approximately 5 kilometers, the driver will drop you off near the entrance of the sanctuary. You will need to walk a short distance (about 200 meters) to reach the entrance, which will be clearly marked.
