Start from the center of Wa, specifically at the Wa Market. Head south on the main road (N12) towards the Wa Polytechnic. After about 1.5 kilometers, look for the signpost indicating the turnoff to Pisie. Take a left onto the road towards Pisie and continue walking for approximately 8 kilometers. This road will lead you directly to the Wechiau Hippo Sanctuary. It’s advisable to ask locals for directions along the way, as they can provide additional guidance and ensure you stay on the right path.

Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Wa and start from the Wa Market. Cycle south on the main road (N12) for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Wa Polytechnic.
