As you approach Elmina, keep an eye out for the Elmina Castle on your left; the Java Museum is located just a short distance further along the same road, on the right side at 61/21 Cape Coast - Takoradi Rd. Parking is typically available near the museum.

For those using public transportation, you can catch a trotro (shared minibus) from any major town in the Western Region, heading towards Cape Coast. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to stop at Elmina. The fare is usually around 5-10 GHS depending on your starting point. Once you arrive in Elmina, you can walk or take a short taxi ride to the museum located at 61/21 Cape Coast - Takoradi Rd. Make sure to check the schedule for the last trotro back to your starting point to avoid being stranded.
