To reach the Main Guard from within the Alameda Botanic Gardens, exit the gardens through the main entrance. Once you are outside, turn left and walk south along the pathway towards the town center. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the roundabout at the end of the road. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Main Street. Follow Main Street for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at John Mackintosh Square. The Main Guard is located at 13 John Mackintosh Square, directly in the square.
