Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main entrance of Gibraltar Nature Reserve, head towards the path that leads up to the Upper Rock area. Continue on the steep path towards the cable car station. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach a junction. Take the left path towards Saint Michael's Cave. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at the cave in approximately 10 minutes.

  • Cable Car

    If you prefer to take the cable car, head to the cable car station located near the entrance to Gibraltar Nature Reserve. The cost for a round trip is approximately £16 for adults and £10 for children. Once you arrive at the top station, exit the cable car and follow the signposts towards Saint Michael's Cave. It is a short 5-minute walk from the cable car station.

    If you are driving, you can park near the entrance of Gibraltar Nature Reserve. Take the road leading towards the Upper Rock and look for signs indicating the direction to Saint Michael's Cave. There are designated parking areas near the cave entrance. However, be aware that parking may be limited during peak tourist season.

    From the main bus terminal in Gibraltar, take the bus route that goes to the Upper Rock. The bus will drop you off near the entrance of Gibraltar Nature Reserve.
