Walking
From the city center, the Moorish Castle is accessible by foot, though the walk involves a significant uphill climb. Follow Willis's Road north; the castle is located within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. Note that the walk from the city center is steep and takes approximately 30-45 minutes.
Public Transport
The Gibraltar Bus Company operates Route 1, which stops near the Moorish Castle entrance. From the city center, take Route 1 and disembark at the Willis's Road Terminus, the last stop on the route. From there, follow the signs to the Moorish Castle, a short walk away. A single fare costs £1.80.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Gibraltar, including at the airport, border, and Casemates Square. A taxi to the Moorish Castle will take approximately 10-15 minutes from the city center. Expect to pay around £10-£15 for the ride. Note that taxis can also be hired for tours of the Upper Rock.
